Thanks for a successful convention

Fellow Republicans:

Thank YOU for your participation in yesterday’s convention.

Many hours of hard work and sacrifice by many, many people go into such
an event. The road  to the convention started many months ago by our
volunteers doing the unsung work of the party.  The process starts with
having so many ready, willing and able people
committed to delivering an excellent service to our party. So much of
the work is done behind the scenes and often goes unnoticed.  I would
like to acknowledge and thank all of you who helped in any way for doing such a great job.

I would especially like to acknowledge our officers for all they do for
our party. Lynda Pipkin organized caucus trainings, Meet the Candidate
events and transitioned Leg 7 leadership to Justin Fawson and Dan
Deuel.  She supported the social media efforts in a very professional
manner.   Susanne Ellison Ferre took care of so many details in regards
to the convention, the financial reporting and public disclosures.  She
thought through and executed the organization of the schools
brilliantly.   Melissa Marler is amazing.  I can’t thank her enough for
the job she did yesterday and throughout her term.  Her organization and
attention to detail is unmatched.  Our check-in and credentialing went
very smoothly.  Thanks Melissa!!!

Our Leg district officers put in so much work the past several months.
Finding precinct chairs, tracking down caucus locations, paperwork, and
delegate information is time consuming and often very difficult.  These
responsibilities were taken seriously and performed with excellence.  A
big thanks to ALL of you for doing an amazing job with your districts.

As always, the Republican Women organization stepped up and helped with
so many things including registration and elections.   Their support of
the party over the years has been amazing.  Yesterday was no different.
Thank you ladies:)

I appreciate all of our delegates for the commitment it takes to get to
know the candidates and exercise an informed vote.  All of you play an
important part in the process.  Our delegate attendance was 93%
yesterday.  Nice!

Finally, I would like to thank our candidates for putting themselves
“out there” to seek election.   You have represented yourselves and our
party with style and professionalism.  I am impressed.

Our party has a very large and diverse membership.  It will only
increase in size over the next several years.  One of our greatest
challenges will be to united and stick together for the greater good of
our region, our county and our party.    Inner party elections
inherently produce conflict.  I would like to thank you in advance for
exercising efforts to come together and work for our constituents.

It is an honor to serve as your Chairman.  Thanks for the opportunity and for your loyal support.

Again thanks for your service to the party, state, region and county.
